Overview
Wizards in Dark and Darker are masters of the arcane—potent spellcasters who manipulate the forces of magic to reshape the battlefield. Their arsenal spans from devastating fire spells to intricate frost and arcane incantations, capable of overwhelming enemies or halting them in their tracks. They can also conjure protective wards to shield themselves from harm. But this raw magical power comes at a cost: their spells require careful preparation through meditation, leaving them exposed to surprise attacks and flanking maneuvers if unguarded.
The Wizard channels the raw essence of magic, bending it to serve his will. Whether igniting enemies in a blaze of fire, cloaking himself in invisibility, or phasing out of danger, the Wizard’s presence is as awe-inspiring as it is lethal.

Perks & Skill
- MeditationMeditation is critical for regaining spells but leaves you vulnerable. It lowers your vision and distorts sound, making it easier for enemies to sneak up on you. Always find elevated or secure ground before using it.
- FireballFireball isn’t just for damage—it can blow open doors or hit enemies hiding behind obstacles thanks to its splash radius.
- Light OrbLight Orb is an excellent counter to stealth-based classes like Rogues, as it reveals their position and disrupts ambushes.
- InvisibilityInvisibility can save your life when under pressure. Pair it with HasteHaste to make a quick escape or reposition effectively before re-engaging.
- If you have teammates like a Bard, or access to Clarity Potions or Campfires, you can rely on those to restore spells. That frees up your skill slot for something more aggressive or defensive than Meditation.
